LifeLetter Spring 2015

HopeDuring a very transitional time in Elizabeth’s* life she received some surprising news; she was pregnant. “I felt so many different emotions. I was very nervous but equally excited.” However, her excitement quickly led to fear as she lived paycheck to paycheck with barely enough money to support herself. She knew she would need help.

Three months into Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God intervened. A friend discovered LifeHouse, and she knew it was where she needed to be.

“The moment I stepped into LifeHouse I was at peace and felt a calmness I had not felt in a long time.”

The residents and Elizabeth’s houseparents became her family. She learned about God’s love and truth, and was able to focus on not only her own life but the life of her baby girl.

Having lived a hard life herself, Elizabeth knew she wanted more for her child. She was motivated to not only change her life but to also make an eternal impact on the life of her baby. For this reason, she made the selfless decision to parent through adoption.

“LifeHouse helped me give everything to God and put it in His hands.”

On Tuesday, March 17, Elizabeth gave birth to baby Faith* and placed her for adoption three days later. She is now working toward a nursing assistant certification and becoming stronger each day!
