LIFEHOUSE CHOSEN AS BENEFICIARY FOR FLUOR CORPORATION’S GOLF FOR GREATER HOUSTON GOLF TOURNAMENT
Fluor Corporation hosted its 8th annual Golf for Greater Houston (GFGH) Charity Golf Event on March 23rd at Sweetwater Country Club. Proceeds from the event benefitted The Pecan Grove Fire Station, Lunches of Love, the USO, and LifeHouse!
A resident from 2013, a sweet girl named Ann, came to LifeHouse through a Fluor employee. The same employee encouraged LifeHouse to apply to be a beneficiary of the GFGH Charity Golf Event. After applying and presenting LifeHouse’s life-changing work to the tournament committee, LifeHouse was selected to be a 2015 beneficiary. Beneficiaries are selected based upon several key areas: access to basic needs, supporting the homeless, abuse, orphans, as well as education.
A check presentation was made to the four nonprofits at Fluor Corporation on Wednesday, May 20th for $270,000. Proceeds are split evenly among the beneficiaries. LifeHouse is ELATED and so grateful for this gift!
