LifeLetter – Summer 2015

In 2008 the ministry was given the funds from some very generous donors to purchase the house next door and renovate it. This doubled our capacity to serve up to 12 girls at one time. Today, in 2015, the LifeHouse board of directors and staff are prayerfully considering another expansion for LifeHouse in order to keep up with increased needs.

While doing research for the potential expansion, it was recommended by LifeHouse Advisory Board Members, Laura and William Wheless, to conduct a thorough internal analysis of the ministry by an organization called Excellence in Giving (EIG) based out of Colorado. EIG is a full-service philanthropic advisory firm designed to increase the joy of the high-capacity donor through a personalized process of discovery, evaluation, participation, and celebration. The Wheless’ and LifeHouse board member, Teri Andrews and her husband Ronnie, generously donated the money for the initiative.

EIG took a “deep-dive” into LifeHouse programs, financials, marketing and development areas. They helped to identify key outcomes and indicators that will help the ministry strategically plan for a potential future expansion.

We are very grateful for the work done by EIG as the ministry will benefit greatly from the wealth of information revealed.  A big thanks to the Wheless’ and the Andrews for recommending, sponsoring, and supporting this beneficial analysis!
