with LifeHouse of HoustonLifeHouse desires to mobilize the local church in supporting life through practical volunteer opportunities. The church can tangibly partner alongside us to help disciple and love on women as they make a choice for life and prepare for motherhood.
Whether you are an individual, couple, or group, there are many ways you can get involved with LifeHouse of Houston. From leading a Bible study to sharing a meal with our residents, your time and talents can make a lasting impact in the lives of the women we serve.

Ways to Volunteer
Flexible Scheduling on Weekdays
Administrative Assistant
Do you have a knack for office work and organization? In this opportunity, you will help with various administrative tasks including filing, envelope stuffing/sealing, light data entry, and more.Flexible Scheduling on weekdays and weeknights
Bible Study Instructor
Dig into the scriptures and facilitate a bible study with the women. The specific study will be selected by LifeHouse staff. 8-week commitment preferred.Ongoing Need
Donation Drive Host
With new residents joining the LifeHouse family often and chores constantly underway, LifeHouse goes through needed household and baby items quickly. Host a donation drive to collect necessary items for the women and children of LifeHouse!Wednesdays 9am - 4pm
Donation Sorting
Donation Sorting volunteers help to organize and inventory all in-kind donations received on our campus, such as maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, and more! These items are donated directly to the residents, alumnae, and their children. Volunteering takes place on Wednesdays in 2-hour time blocks.Fridays from 6-8PM
Friday Fun Night Hosts
Games? Crafts? S’Mores? Bring a group of friends and/or family to ours and host dinner and do a family friendly activity of your choosing with the LifeHouse residents. Activities must be approved by LifeHouse staff in advance. Volunteer groups of 2-5 individuals preferred.Flexible scheduling on weekdays
House Parent Assistant
Assist the house moms by helping with transportation of residents, grocery trips, household chores, and encouraging the house mother and women living in the home. Minimum 4-week commitment preferred.Second Saturday of the month from 10AM - 2PM
LifeLine Event Volunteer
Our monthly LifeLine events are designed to continue a path of hope for the former residents and their babies. We achieve this by providing community, engaging teaching, and tangible resources. Volunteer opportunities include event set-up and tear-down, childcare support, hospitality support, taking photos, and providing the lunchtime meal.Flexible Scheduling
Maintenance or Cleaning Project
Helping maintain the grounds of LifeHouse allows the women we serve to be welcomed into an environment of safety and healing. Bring your small group out and help with landscaping, deep cleaning, or various projects around the homes.Mondays from 10:30am-12pm
Parenting Class Instructor
Support our maternity ladies by helping them prepare for motherhood. Discuss pregnancy & prenatal care, labor & delivery, and how to properly care for a child once he or she arrives. Specific curriculum will be provided for you.Wednesdays from 11:45AM - 1:30PM
Power Hour Lunch & Prayer
Come join our LifeLine ladies for a lunchtime gathering! Volunteers will bring a meal to share with a small group of women and their children, share a bible story from one of the gospels, and spend time praying with the ladies. Monthly commitment preferred.Flexible Scheduling
Productive Hours Instructor
Spend time with the LifeHouse residents by leading an interactive class or therapeutic activity! These classes provide a time for the residents to work on a creative project, learn new skills, and connect with the volunteer and other residents. Class ideas include crafting, painting, creative writing, cooking, fitness (strengthening and stretching), and more. Minimum 4-week commitment preferred.Wednesdays from 10-11AM
Relationships Class Instructor
Help our women navigate how to have healthy relationships with others. A specific Relationships curriculum will be provided for you. 7-week commitment preferred.Ongoing Need
Snack Packs
Support LifeHouse kids by making snack packs for our monthly LifeLine events! Specific items will be shared with you by the Volunteer Manager. Assemble the snack packs at your home and arrange a time to drop them off at our South Campus.Ongoing Need
Welcome Signs & Cards
Have a knack for crafting? Gather a group and consider how to encourage the women at LifeHouse through a door sign! Whether it is a verse or a holiday themed door sign, it will brighten the day of each resident as she embarks on this new journey!
