Sue Baumgarten has been involved with LifeHouse of Houston since 1992. She first served on the Board of Directors in 1993, then moved into a staff role, serving as the housemother from 1995 to 1997. Sue served as President of the LifeHouse Board from 2005 to 2011, and Executive Director from 2014-2017. She is on the National Christian Housing Conference leadership team and the National Maternity Housing Coalition Leadership Council (part of Heartbeat International). She’s also served on the boards of Carolina Creek Christian Camp, The Forge for Families, Inc., and the Advisory Council for the National Christian Foundation. Her gifts and talents are in connecting and encouraging people, and development. She and her husband, Gil, have three grown children and one granddaughter. They attend Seven Mile Road Church, Houston. Sue has a BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University where she majored in Marketing and Management.
Seth Bullock lives in Houston with his wife, Rochelle, and their four children. Seth currently serves on the Finance Committee for LifeHouse and feels called to serve on the board to help advance LifeHouse’s mission to protect the unborn by providing housing, help and hope to mothers. Seth and his family attend The Story Houston. Seth is a Managing Director with a large consulting firm and specializes in energy restructuring, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Shenille Engelhart-Skopik currently lives in Katy with her husband of 19 years, Chris and two youngest children. She is the proud mother of four children one of which is a LifeHouse baby. For the past five years she has been the President/CEO of CLS Technology a commercial fire alarm/ low voltage company and CLS Fire Protection a commercial fire sprinkler company. Shenille is excited to give back to the organization that blessed her 23 years ago when she was pregnant with her daughter and looking forward to what God has planned for LifeHouse in the future.
Jason George currently lives in Houston with his wife Stephanie and their four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Jason is a CPA and Shareholder at Aycock & Company, PC, a tax advisory firm located in the Galleria area. He graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Jason serves LifeHouse because he and his family believe that it is a life-giving ministry, not just for the babies that are protected, but also for the mothers that are in great need. Jason currently serves on the Finance Committee for LifeHouse.
Eric Huffman is the Lead Pastor of The Story Houston, the author of 40 Days of Doubt: Devotions for the Skeptic (Abingdon Press, 2018), and the host of the Maybe God Podcast. Eric has been featured in various stories in the Houston Chronicle, and has served as guest contributor for the KSBJ and NGen radio evening shows. He is thankful for the opportunity to connect his family and church community to the ministry of LifeHouse.
Russell Jones is a native Texan who currently lives in Houston with his wife, Taryn, and three children. He is a Vice Chairman at Newmark Knight Frank, and has been involved in commercial real estate in Houston since he graduated from Baylor University in 2001. Russell serves on the LifeHouse Board to help expand the footprint of the Christian ministry to protect unborn children. He and his family are members of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
Stacey Lamb lives in the Memorial area with her husband of 21 years, Todd, and their two girls, Sophie (14) and Savannah Rose (7). They are members of Houston’s Hope City Church and are passionately involved in multiple ministries worldwide. Their family travels to and supports India’s For All Mankind and As Our Own, as well My Life Speaks in Haiti and Africa where they are privileged to shepherd over 30 orphans by providing ongoing shelter, Christian education, sustenance and medical care. “The Lord settles the barren woman in her home as the happy mother of children” (Ps 113:9). After struggling for 11 years, Stacey joyfully set aside her career to, at long last, be a stay-at-home mom. That journey allowed her to experience the grief of loss, the joy of birth and the un-surpassing miracle of adoption. Savannah’s rescue and homecoming brought to light the desperate need for places just like LifeHouse. For Stacey, joining the board is a redemptive illustration of the miraculous testimony of her life.
Adam is a financial and operational leader who believes that that growth is an opportunity as well as a complexity. Adam has experience in high-tech and traditional businesses, bringing with him a deep understanding of how to build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. A native Houstonian, Adam is married to Kathryn and they have two children, Ted and Mary James. They are active members of Grace Bible Church in the Heights. Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Rice University in Houston.
JaNae Lyon graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Psychology and Child and Family Studies. She went on to receive her MA in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University. After graduation, she provided counseling for the women living at LifeHouse. During her time at LifeHouse, her passion for the ministry grew and she knew her involvement with LifeHouse would not end when God called her to be a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Steve, have two children, and they enjoy quality time exploring Houston and being outdoors. More recently, she began her small business with Young Living Essential Oils as an independent consultant and essential oil educator. JaNae and her family attend Houston's First Baptist Church where her and Steve actively serve in marriage ministry. JaNae strives to live abundantly through spiritual, physical, and emotional health and believes the Lord has called her to guide others to the abundant life that He intends for them to live. She feels honored to have the opportunity to serve LifeHouse as a member of the board.
Stephanie is a native Californian who has called Sugar Land, Texas home for a little over 10 years. Through her experience as a homeschool mom, God called her to become more politically active in her community. As a Precinct Chair, she works to help elect candidates who value life from conception to natural death. She is the co-leader of American Civics Community (formerly known as Salt & Light Biblical Citizenship) where she helps equip, educate and encourage Christians to become more civically involved in their communities.

Amy Sandidge currently resides in the Memorial area with her Husband, Clint, and two children, Nate (9) and Lillian (7). They attend Second Baptist Church and are actively involved in Married Life. Amy has a passion for Women’s Ministry. Amy not only serves and teaches the women at church, but also in her community where she serves on the Board of the Plaza Oaks Women’s Club as Communications Chair. Amy has served as the Social Media/Communications Lead for Rummel Creek Auction and helps at the school on a weekly basis. Having been a former educator, technology consultant and salesperson, Amy has a heart for reaching people. Following in the footsteps of her aunt, she has always had a heart for life, the unborn, and women who find themselves in what can seem an impossible situation. Amy’s enthusiastic attitude and zeal for life have drawn her to the hurting. She is thrilled to serve on the board of LifeHouse, where she feels she can impart hope and freedom in Christ to the women and children she is united with through this ministry.
Diane graduated from Houston Baptist University with a M.A. in Christian Counseling in 2010. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She began her counseling degree at Gracewood, a ministry that rescues children and their single mothers. For over five years, she served as Intake Coordinator, Counselor, and Programs Supervisor. In 2016 Diane entered private practice and joined The Houston Center for Christian Counseling. As she was working on building her private practice, she was given the opportunity to counsel the women of LifeHouse for a period of six months. Fiv years later she was then given the privilege of serving LifeHouse as a board member.
Throughout her 11-year career in counseling, Diane has specialized in women (with and without children), married couples, adolescents, and families. She works extensively with victims of abuse, neglect, and other traumas. Her areas of specialty are betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, grief, and parenting.
Diane and Scott, her husband of 34 years, live in the Memorial area of Houston. They are members of Tallowood Baptist Church and they have three sons, two daughters in law, and three grandchildren. Diane believes we are to be God's ambassadors in our dealings with others and that God is using her to confirm to people that He is at work bringing hope and restoration in the midst of life's challenges.
Yvette graduated with a degree in business from the University of Western Ontario - Ivey Business School. After graduating, she moved to the USA to work at several oil and gas companies. Yvette is currently a stay-at-home mom with three boys. She and her husband Erik are involved with multiple international and local Christian organizations and have a passion to share Christ. Yvette's family is active in tennis and her boys recently started a charity to bring tennis racquets and shoes to kids in underprivileged parts of the world. Yvette and her family attend Second Baptist Church. Yvette is pleased to work with LifeHouse and to give hope, love and a safe place to women to go during an unplanned pregnancy.
Darren is a husband and father of two. He sincerely believes that children are blessings from God, blessings that God uses in the building of his Kingdom. Christ stated we do to Him whatever we do for the weakest of us. Darren is encouraged by LifeHouse’s commitment to fulfilling God’s instruction in this regard. Darren holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a J.D., and is employed as a patent attorney. Darren and his family are members at Southwest Presbyterian (PCA).
